Well, it looks like the journey is over folks.
A marvellous, thrilling, and successful two seasons under manager Ange Postecoglou appear to have come to an end.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano (yes, the guy many supporters believe when he is providing positive Celtic news but then choose to believe he’s lying when it’s seen as bad news) has given an update on his Twitter feed this evening that the deal is all but done.
New round of talks scheduled in the next 24/48h between Tottenham and CAA agency in order to complete the agreement for Ange Postecoglou.
#THFC Contract almost agreed, waiting on the final details to be sorted then it will be sealed.
This was his tweet 37 minutes ago at the time of writing.
And now, despite Luis Enrique going from 14/1 to 4/1 with skybet this afternoon and Ange falling from 1/5 to 2/7 with them, they have now suspended all betting on who the next Spurs manager will be at the start of next season.
This follows on from Paddy Power suspending betting on the market 2-3 days ago.
Other major bookies Ladbrokes and Bet365 have also followed suit, so it appears the writing is absolutely on the wall and Ange Postecoglou will become the next Spurs manager, unless something crazy happens.
