Unlike Our Rivals, Celtic Don’t Need To Sell Our Best Players

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has given Celtic fans an update this morning that EPL clubs are interested in Greek ace Giorgos Giakoumakis.

As expected, despite it being obvious that clubs are going to be interested in our players, for the simple fact we have really good players here, it has still left some of our supporters a nervous wreck.

Chill out.

As I’ve said before you better get used to it. We have lots of good players who are bringing the team success. They are obviously going to attract interest.

It’s important to actually read what Fabrizio said.

“CELTIC HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION OF SELLING”

“UNTOUCHABLE”

“GIAKOUMAKIS IS HAPPY AT CELTIC”

I mean, it can’t really get much clearer than that, can it?

The club aren’t interested in selling and the player is loving his time at Celtic, he’s about to go and play in the Champions League which will be a dream come true for him. Of course he’s happy here and wants to stay.

Yes, we have a player trading model, but when we are bringing in £40m in Champions League money, the need to sell players to bring in money is gone. We don’t need to.

If we had missed out on the Champions League then that is when the problems would have arisen, as we would need to make up some of that income and we try to do that by bringing on around £20m in player sales. But we don’t need to do that.

The players can see we are building something special here.

We don’t need to sell our best players, we don’t want to sell them and they want to stay here. Enjoy knowing that.
