Giovanni Van Bronckhorst gave Sevco fans and STV reporter Raman Bhardwaj the news that they were dreading today, as he ruled on form striker Kemar Roofe out for a number of weeks.
This means that he will miss several huge fixtures, including the first leg against RB Leipzig and the league trip to Celtic Park, which could very well be a title decider, depending how results go this weekend.
It is a huge blow for Sevco, especially after Morelos was recently ruled out for the rest of the season.
Roofe came in and although he hasn’t played well against Celtic, he has scored and played well in the other matches, including scoring an extra time winner against Braga and a hat-trick against St Mirren in the league.
It now looks like they will have to pin their striking hopes on flops Fashion Sakala and Cedric Itten, although as one poster points out below, Itten apparently isn’t even in the Euro squad!
