Video: Pass Of The Season From Hatate As Celtic Lead 2-0 At HT

It has been a dominant first half from Celtic as the home side lead St Mirren 2-0 at half-time.

A shocking pass from Carl Starfelt which went straight to a St Mirren player and put us under pressure, which thankfully Kobayashi dealt with, and an offside goal goal from Curtis Main, was the only thing Celtic have had to deal with so far.

Kobayashi was unlucky not to score on his debut tonight as his effort hit the post, but as usual Liel Abada was on-hand to slot the ball home to open the scoring.

He could arguably have had a penalty right at the start of the game as he appeared to be pulled down inside the box, but it wasn’t given by the referee or by VAR.

The angle from Celtic TV was pretty terrible, so it’s hard to say if it was a penalty or not.

But the best piece of play in the match was the sublime pass from Reo Hatate to play in Kyogo to wonderfully chip the keeper.

The timing, speed, vision, weight on the ball, this pass had everything.
